Re: Lotharek 030 accelerator ?

Surely on the A600 they'd either go for a Vampire or PiStorm and be done with it? Cheaper and faster (at least the PiStorm would be) and less hassle getting a non-remarked chip. To each its own. I personally am not interested in either of those two and would love a real 68030 accelerator for the A6...

Re: TF1260 stuff

Yes, the pentium is a bit stronger in quake as I believe it has a faster (more efficient?) floating point unit than the 060. Obviously many other things are different - ram speeds between an Amiga and pc, vga graphics card vs using chip ram etc, pc having generally faster hd access etc etc Pentium ...

Re: TF1260 stuff

Thought i'd benchmark the TF1260 against the Blizzard 1260 using NovaCoder's AmiQuake. 320x200 NTSC, 2x hud showing, timedemo demo1, nosound. Blizzard 1260 80Mhz = 16.3fps TF1260 79.16Mhz = 15.7fps It's pretty close! I'm wondering if the Blizzard's faster chip mem speed is the difference here given...

Re: A1200 timing fixes for the 1260

Just a quick heads up that it is necessary to do the timing fixes for the TF1260 to work properly. Removing E123C and E125C from the A1200 motherboard is usually sufficient to achieve this. My A1200 Rev 1D1 was affected by E123C and E125C and I removed them, hence TF1260 is stable instead of random...

Re: 68060 sources

I will have both options available, but I don't have many CPUs. I am trying to stock a few so that they will be available when the board is ready, but as you can see it's been hard finding them. Luckily I was able to return all the fakes but I still had to pay return postage on them, so the exercis...

It depends on the individual CPU... some can go as high as 85, some crap out at 75...

Re: Fake TF536s Bounty (Bound Edition)

They are called, IIRC from my days of repairing cars, Pattern Parts. It means that consumers have a choice to buy OEM parts at a price premium, or opt for 3rd party parts that are cheaper, but may not meet the same standards of quality demanded by the OEM. They fit, they will work, and they are che...

I have no problem reproducing stuff that has gone out of production.
I was referring to the original checkmate A1500 which used Amiga 500 motherboard, not with the recent Amiga 3000 inspired A1500 case.
