Re: TF536 Bugs

I personally couldnt care less :) Besides, at least im being explicit about it unlike GPLv3 which just does it by tying people's hands. My motivation would be it would be open for other people to learn from, and for sensible people to build for themselves and enjoy. People trying to make money off ...

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

OK so here is what I plan to do for the TF536 firmware. I will fix this. The firmware will not be public. You will need to send your TF536 to one of the trusted builders to get it fixed. If you are one of those bad mouthing me you will not get it fixed unless you pay £1000. I am through being a nic...

Re: TF536 Bugs

I certainly won't be open sourcing the design now, and if I do it will have a license that says "Commercial production without my authorisation is strictly prohibited" Ironically that won't be Open Source any more :D (well it least it wouldn't fall under the OSD of Open Source). More of a...

Re: Terribllefire State of the Union....

You have given so much to us in the hobbyist community. I've now built, repaired and upgraded a few of your cards for me and others locally and it has been a lot of fun. Whilst I don't think I'll get into the 060 game any time soon (I'm having too much fun with the 030 stuff), it does look awesome! ...

Re: Programming TF accelerator help

If it helps, I also created a guide with photos here based on my own learning of how to do it:

If you have a Pi 4 then switch "matrix_creator" for "sysfsgpio_creator".

Welcome on board!

If I ever get all my STF/FM repairs completed, I have an A500 & A500+ to fix... plus my original BBC model B and extras...
I actually restored a BBC Master 128 (branded with "BBC Radio" markings) before I started working on the A500s :)

Hi from Norfolk, UK

Hi all, My real name is Andrew and I normally work on Open Source database software. When I left my previous company in August I needed a new hobby to recover. I decided to repair / refurbish dead computers from my youth. I had never had anything from the 16bit era (I went from a BBC Micro to a 486)...

Re: Thank you Terriblefire!

Yeah Thanks, Steven. I loved building my two TF534's. I actually started with a TF534. Bought a dead one cheap where someone managed to badly damage the xtal and the PCB traces around it, after repairing that I wanted to try one from scratch :) Only been an Amiga user since August when I decided to...
