Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

The shifter doesn't really do much. The MMU is what drives the data to it. The shifter has a few internal registers for stuff and that's it. There's already demos shown *somewhere* which work perfectly . Graphic cards are a bodge on top of the CPU. Need drivers like NVDI and are less compatible with...

Re: 32768 color dual Shifter ST mod - schematics lost?

AFAIK its just extended the colour palette like the STE has 4 bits instead of 3. But the colours on screen was still limited to 16 anyway. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see the point in it all.

Re: Project: HDMI/DVI out for STFM

GEM can display over scan screens for higher resolutions without to much trouble. I don't know about colours. I assume the VDI can open a workstation for 16 colours at higher resolutions, but we are a while away from those issues yet. Sadly nobody wants to help with the projects, so Icky is mostly f...

Re: Have I bought the right kit?

I am using a cable with 13 pin DIN on one end, VGA plug on the other, I don't think there are any active components inside. Was that a poor ebay purchase? I don't know what cable you have purchased on eBay ? Mostly people go for these, these days... https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/store2/#0170

Wondering.. I have the VGA connector to use on the board.. maybe overall it would be better to use the VGA and a 3.5mm audio out socket. What do you think Exxos?
Quite possibly yes. The idea of the H5 VGA socket is so that you do not need a ST2VGA switch in the first place.

Re: CURRENT STOCK STATUS

The 4MB MMU RAM kits should be appearing in stock again very soon. There have been the a few small changes relating to the sale of this kit. Firstly the main RAM board (built and tested) is now sold by itself only. The shifter adapter is available as a part kit (PCB only basically) or assembled and ...

Will they come, as final product, ready to be used in a plug and play way?
Nope. PCB only sold "as is". It's not a final product and probably never will be. I am only selling them because people kept pestering about it, I personally don't really have any interest in it.
