Re: TF4060 Revision 1 Design Complete

Hi Stephen, Once everything is done and you feel like you have some time on your hand, would you mind posting some of your experiences designing and bringing up this card? I used to watch your YT channel for this kind of information, but alas... I am interested in the design challenges you were faci...

Re: TF4060 Revision 1 Design Complete

Sir, I sincerely applaud you for your tenacity!

Really looking forward to some day put one of it into my A3000!
I'm especially happy to hear that DMA is fully supported!

Re: TF536 compatibility with A2091 SCSI Card

This is what you're looking for: http://aminet.net/package/driver/media/vbak2091 I had a chance to try this, but it didn't help with the performance. It may be due to the device driver used for the A590. With a 3.2. Kick ROM installed I can see that the TF536's IDE scsi.device has version 47.4, whi...

Re: TF536 compatibility with A2091 SCSI Card

This is what you're looking for: http://aminet.net/package/driver/media/vbak2091 An update: I noticed that OS3.2’s HDToolBox now allows to set the per-partition BufMemType. Setting it to 24bit DMA didn’t help increase the speed, though. I’m getting around 112kb/s with the A590 (v7 ROMs) according t...

Re: TF536 compatibility with A2091 SCSI Card

I have a A590 and I got it to work, albeit it is very slow. I'm suspecting that the OS/driver are allocating the buffers on the TF536's memory, which disallows DMA. Is there a way to set the BufMemType for the partitions in the RDB or is that only possible by manually mounting the partitions? I chec...

Re: TF536 Firmare Update RC3

Thank you!

I tested the new FW and the lockups during serial transfers are gone.

Re: TF536, device driver for the IDE controller ?

FFS requires a lot of memory for validating large partitions. Either decrease partition size, increase block size or use PFS.

On Kick 1.3 and a TF530 I have successfully used this ide.device driver:

Re: TF536 - Freeze on Disk (write) access?

I might have run into the same or similar issue: transferring files via AExplorer from the PC to an A500 (with TF536 and buffered IDE) over serial cable (either 38400 or 56700baud). The transfer randomly locks up the machine. Serial should stress IRQs quite well...

Re: Terriblefire State of the Union....

I’m glad the terrible fire is not fully extinguished and there’s still sparks of joy in there for you. Don’t let the actions and words from individuals drag you down, the vast majority of the community supports you. Maybe you can find someone else to carry the baton to the finishing line? I’m still ...
