Re: Amiga a500+ battery leakage repair

Nice work, I like to spend spare time repairing 500+ boards and getting them back in service, it's quite rewarding. For future reference: Those logic chips can be tested in a TL88 eprom programmer, the bundled software has a test. It's a cleaner look to run the patch wires on the underside. Tops sid...

Re: Reasons a TF1230 (or any expansion card) may not work

Yeah I've winced at videos of people snipping off old caps with side cutters.
It's asking for trouble, and seems commonplace. It's another reason I never touch 'recrapped' boards unless I am salvaging them for spare parts.

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

They are on the official Datasheet as Industrial Range. Maybe 133mhz is just a touch too slow? They're not on the official data sheet I'm looking at, I see 6TLI, 7TLI, 75ETLI but no 75TLI IS42S16320B.png Can you send me a link to the sheet you're referencing? If you check his picture, you can see h...

Where did you get IS42S16320B-75TLI ? Are they made up component suffixes from AliExpress?

Re: TFMSX Arrives

Maybe this could work: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/real-tim ... /6676221p/

Disclaimer: I didn't look at the pinouts, I've just seen them used on modern amiga ram/clock boards.

Re: VAT charges to EU states

Its just frustrating that companies are allowed to operate in this manner. And don't even get me started on evilbay.. Yes, they ensure if you have any value on your time, it's futile chasing them as it will end up costing you much more in time than the value of the refund. This kind of shit should ...

Re: VAT charges to EU states

You can phone UPS up on any number and the person answering the call can process a payment from you.
A refund? It seems nobody can and they cannot even put you through to someone that can. They just point you to an email address that seems to answer with the speed of continental drifts.

Re: VAT charges to EU states

Yeah UPS have been a real pain in my arse recently. They love taking money from you, but to get it back from them even when they admit fault is a nightmare. I've stopped using them myself for posting out.

So £129.05 goods, and 70.56 in tax charges!! So basically a 55% markup in tax and charges :cussing: :WTF:
If you can show a tax pre-payment, UPS cannot charge.
I've had it a couple of times with them and DHL.
