Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)

I wouldn't trust any 030 bought via eBay or Aliexpress.
Some reprints are actually quite good, but many start to crap out when you push them to 50mhz.

Re: TFMSX Arrives

@terriblefire
May I ask what must requirements do you have for ARM firmware on this board?
Usb keyboard, and gameports is a must.

ROM emulation if we can directly talk to the bus?

Edit
I am just thinking if I can do any more prep work or I can wait and jump in when Rev1 arrives.

Re: Not good Microsoft, you've lost me now.

Intel gen 7 has beed discontinued over a year ago. It is a little bit shit that late adopters will have only about 6 years out of it with official support. Saying this I fully understand why MS don't want to support hardware which is discontinued by producers. I would even discuss if it is Microsoft...

Re: Not good Microsoft, you've lost me now.

Is it reasonable to expect from Microsoft support of previous generations of hardware in their new OS? I am sure that I am not migrating to Windows 11 any time soon. I don't have patience any more to look for workarounds. PS I am still waiting for SSRS support in new .NET revisions, they discontinue...

To be fair, A1200 and A600 PCBs are quite fragile.
So you need some experience to handle them properly.

Well depending on how well this all works we might be able to ditch the EPROM and save a few £££.
If I can talk to bus directly, this would open quite few possibilities.
On the other hand if this was possible why no one done it before?
Anyway it is worth trying, winters in Scotland are long :)

Re: TFMSX Arrives

I have optimised a little bit more by moving some more utils stuff to ram, and tested how to time small amount of time, and simple NOP loop does the job. It is literally all possible performance optimisations which can be done on stm32f7. I have set up 192k of SRAM as well, just for .data if it was ...
