FOR TRADE: Sharp X68000. Ideally looking for Amiga big box
Hi, I am looking to swap/trade this original model Sharp X68000 CZ-600C. I am ideally looking for a big box Amiga. A 3000 would be top of the list. But tell me what you have :D It has memory expansion and BlueSCSI harddrive fully loaded. So you can play 99% of the software. I don't have the original...

Re: Getting to the end of collecting - Sam Coupe
Coming from a family of horders I am aware of things I need to watch. I have to set rules, say that if I've got something then it needs to be on display so (in theory) I can take it off the shelf get the PSU, controller and video cable and use it. If it's off somewhere stored in the house that is no...

Re: Getting to the end of collecting - Sam Coupe
I know what you mean. Things do come along, like the Sharp X68000. I never expected to get into that, but something happened then yes boom I was fully down the rabbit hole  I think I've managed to climb back out of that one now. Until TF releases some addon  I suppose there is the Neo Geo ...

Getting to the end of collecting - Sam Coupe
I feel like I am getting to the end of my collecting. There is always going to be upgrades to buy that come along, but I've pretty much got everything that has that nostalgic feeling. I could buy an Acorn Electron for example, but I've no connection to it. Getting it for the sake of it. I've over 80...

Re: Stuff and Things.
@rubber_jonnie - on the PS2Slim just check it is ok with CD, DVD dual and single layer.
I've got one that won't read dual layer games. So that one was an ideal candidate for the Router and OPL games.
I can't remember now, but blue coloured discs indicate one or the other.

Re: Stuff and Things.
For the PS2 Slim you can use a router with USB socket to load games via OPL. I don't have to hand the model I use, but it's about the size of cigarette packet and I power it from PS2 USB. Then use one of those tiny large capacity USB sticks. Also MemCard Pro 2 is good. I've not played with mine yet,...

Re: 68060 sources
This is basically the method I used to remove my 060. Once it was out I used wife's hairdryer on cold just to get the CPU down in temp. You don't want to thermally shock it. I would also melt a big blob of solder nearby, then it might be more obvious that your 'up to melting temp' and it's time to r...

Re: It's GDEMU time
After seeing your Saturn post I bought one of those replacement PSUs for my Saturn and got a Dreamcast one.
As you say, pretty easy to fit.

Re: A X68000 arrived
Nice one on the PSU enclosure. This is for further down the road but it popped in my head; on quite a few games it says 'switch to 10mhz mode' (before 030 models there were 16mhz 68000 models), due to the system running too fast (I think too fast sound is the main effect). Something to consider as a...

Re: A X68000 arrived
terriblefire Thingverse might have what you need to mount the PicoPSU inside your Pro case: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3338243 Or you can probably get the dimensions off the files included. As I think the actual files are not for your PicoPSU PCB. I was thinking cost vs time and say get the ...
