Re: A X68000 arrived
Just checking, so when you are using the Goteks you are leaving a disk physically in the X68000 disk drive? If you just have an inline floppy cable it will probably be like my DIY one and you need the physical disks inserted to give Disk Ready signal or whatever it is called. So make sure disks are ...

Re: A X68000 arrived
terriblefire when you said: And the other 2 disks (unsure of what they are as its just gotek numbers) Are those from the archive I posted? And was the Memtest also from that archive? Also you have tried actual 5 1/4 disks now? You've had so something booting so that is a good sign. When I had major...

Re: MSX USB to DB9
Great work. X68000 uses MSX standard for joystick (and Sega 6 button pad with adaptor for Street Fighter 2).
If it could also do Amiga mouse that would be great.

Re: Hello
Hi. I've been a reader/subscriber of Retro Gamer for many years. Sometimes I think oh no not another article on a main stream retro game that everyone knows about, but then they have gems such as 'Lost Patrol' and they covered the ZX Spectrum game 'Rescue' (a service station bought gem on a school t...

I am looking at my Goteks with a clearer head.arkadiusz.makarenko wrote: ↑Sun Dec 24, 2023 12:24 pm Do you have jumpers across S0, S1 and JC?
Docs says this about jumper settings.

Re: A X68000 arrived
Sorry, I meant S1 on one and S0 on the other. Definitely worth updating FlashFloppy on Gotek. I think your now just hitting the SRAM not being configured. It's so integral to the X68K working (correctly). Interesting, I had a feeling that I could not get Memtest to display on my 1942 and I had to us...

Re: A X68000 arrived
Stay up late watching a film and then my daughter wakes up at 4:30am. Feeling brain dead. Anyway this contains the Masterdisks, just need V2 and it has the SASI bootloader. Plus some other things. I think V3 just has a newer Switch.C X68000F.7z My Gotek does not have any config files on the USB stic...

Re: A X68000 arrived
One of those USB adapters I mentioned are really good, cheap and quite simple to make. Run Keyboard and Mouse off the same port. Need a ProMicro, USBHost and Level Shifter. Probably some PIC code about for the PS/2 keyboard adaptors floating about, that probably has less parts as a temp measure to g...

Re: A X68000 arrived
Super. Now your into the realm of configuring the SRAM. You will need to boot the 'Masterdisk V2'. And load Switch.c to configure. Gotek, I guess they are flashed with Flash floppy. So can use X68000 images converted to .hfe I am struggling to remember and currently watching a film with the misses s...
