Re: Apollo 1240 memory not showing up in Workbench

After mid-night time for bed, diagrom did give the range of the fastram, but I can not recall it off the top of the head, will check it out tomorrow, too cold out in the shed ATM to check it out. Yes the Ram option jumper is shorted, I have the manual for the Apollo, the same one as the link above. ...

Re: Apollo 1240 memory not showing up in Workbench

Which KS are you using... i think there is an issue with pre 3.0 systems. I tried with both KS 3 & 3.1, I did read somewhere that even 3.1 can cause some issues with the Apollo cards. When I initially purchased the Apollo back in 2002 it worked well with KS3, but life then took over raising 3 s...

Apollo 1240 memory not showing up in Workbench

Hi all, I have been repairing an old Apollo 1240 card that has been in storage for sometime. Some of the pads, and a few of the traces of the dual flip flop chip used to half the oscillator frequency in the 040 position were simply gone. All the vias that supported this chip were also cactus, and ne...

Re: TF536 Rev 2 Design Complete (all gone)

@Danoo I think you'll be the first yo try 128mb. Terriblefire said a couple of weeks ago that the current firmware will support 128 64 and 32mb. I have sone 32mb chips on some old simms for instance. Thanks for the info, I thought I had read that somewhere, will probably give it a crack on one of t...

Re: TF536 Rev 2 Design Complete (all gone)

Hi all, I am thinking of putting AS4C32M16SB-6TIN SDRAM chips on one of the TF536 boards when they arrive (still on the slow boat to OZ). Just experimenting, not really after 128mb, 64mb is more than I will ever need. I remember reading somewhere in the threads that the firmware may support 128 mb (...

Re: 68060 sources

Stachu asking 230€ for rev.6, will not pay that price, rather will buy Mike Stirling's FPGA accelerator  There are some other sources selling them in the states for about that amount, there shipping rates are pretty steep. I took the risk and bought one from funkward-tech today for about half ...

Re: Cooling TF cards in CD32

Thanks for the info matt020 that sounds like a very good solution  , it would certainly be a lot less coin than installing air conditioning. My own lab / workshop / gaming / etc etc is situated in a 15 x 6 m fully lined shed separate from the main house. It does get a little warm in there duri...

Re: Cooling TF cards in CD32

@Higgy Thanks for the temperature info in the other thread, our ambient temperature during the OZ summer can be well over 40 at times (cracked 44 last summer). It maybe time to invest in some air conditioning for my shed, if I want to run a TF360 during summer :)

Re: The TF360 rev2 arrives

just been using infrared thermometer. After 3 060 demos back to back and at 75mhz I recorded max 40 deg on CPU. Most of cpu was 36 CPLD was 31 and 37 deg. (this is with the case on and my little 5v fan running on the cpu). Would you know what the approximate ambient temperature was during your test...
