Re: foft's dfb1 build

So far one FPU fully working, though they are all detected. I remember how fussy these are though putting them into the Falcon, perhaps some pins need bending out. So I need to sit down and try that when I get time. The working FPU sometimes fails, sometimes passed on fputest, so it seems marginal....

Re: DFB1 Support thread

markus0321 , do you want to have a try with this? This is a nasty hack, but might be a good data point. This is a version of TOS404 that:- Detects TT-RAM Maddalt()s the TT-RAM Reserves an FRB Sets the _FRB cookie You do not need MAPROM or FASTRAM with this version of TOS. So the question is: does H...

Re: PAK/3 TOS 3.06: UK Version?

I've just been trying to work out how to use TOSPATCH.TTP and even with Google translate to help understand the German I'm getting nowhere. It seems to be one of those free programs which works if you're the author, have in depth knowledge of its workings and have the same set-up as them. *sigh* It...

Re: FrontBench: using Frontier as a benchmark (Discussion thread)

OK, well I've just tested Frontbench on my TF536 set-up with MAPROM_C.PRG and PAK/3 TOS 3.06 and I'm getting identical results with the "standard" firmware. All very stable. I'm a newb at these benchmarks. Does FrontBench run in alt-RAM in the TF536-ST? Providing you set the program flags...

Re: PAK/3 TOS 3.06: UK Version?

Is this for his games, you mean? I had this on the Falcon with EmuTOS. It was enough to patch the TOS version. Yes. Well, PP's loaders have a whole other level of incompatibility with EmuTOS. :-) Yeah, he has an extreme antipathy to EmuTOS, I know, but most worked with it set to 0404. What I meant ...

Re: FrontBench: using Frontier as a benchmark (Discussion thread)

50 mhz VGA, Oh, wow. If that's VGA (60Hz), then you should get even higher results at 50Hz RGB. I didn't expect it to be that high tbh. Right now it is 14mb + 16mb RAM as I can't fit the 128MB under the hood now its back in its original case. Seeing the other results, its interesting the difference...

Re: DFB1 Support thread

Of course, this isn't the SCSI issue that the DFB1 is seeing but it does show some of the general issues which may be at play. Interesting, though. Uwe has given us an idea of how HDDriver handles an FRB in a Falcon environment. I think we're fairly compliant with that, although the only way to be ...

Re: PAK/3 TOS 3.06: UK Version?

I could do, but then PP's loader wouldn't recognise the machine as a TT and hence doesn't apply the 68030 patches. Unfortunately he doesn't look at the cookies for CPU etc. and does his own thing to determine the machine and then assume the CPU from that. Is this for his games, you mean? I had this...
