TF536 and compatibility

Post by zChris »

Hello,

Now that i have a working TF536 build, somewhat glitchy on start, i was wondering what else is needed and useful to have software wise. Does for example EmuTOS have a better compatibility towards games and software than Tos 2.06 have? How compatible is TF536 in this regard? Do i need any extra program to use the ram on it ? I saw something about a program that one should have in the auto folder in order to be able to use more memory.

With regards to games, the PP converted games for hard disks are hit and miss to be honest, mostly because the loader detects that it's on an ST but not that it has a 68030 processor. (It should be picking this up from the cookie jar but that's ignored.) None of the games seem to work with EmuTOS, only TOS 2.06.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
