Thnx, this excludes potential issue with PUNT

Does RTC work it should be detected in Amiga Test Kit?

I have added additional checks on IRQ routines and turned off caches and removed all gamepad routines.
So basically stripped back firmware to bare bones + RTC.

Yes, the RTC is detected in ATK.

So just flashed this new one and it has the same effect, ATK still reports joystick buttons being pressed. If you switch to CD32 gamepad mode in port 1 in AmigaTestKit, it shows all buttons being pressed all the time.

WEIRD!
RTC has like a "milion" requests with CPLD and ARM and if it counts time on screen this means that it reads values live... I will kick out CD32 gamepad support and leave even less.

Last one for tonight ?

RTC not detected now, mouse still crazy, and joypad buttons still show as being pressed! Very odd. Hopefully I will get the RET6 chip to try soon.

Last question what crystal and caps on crystal do you have on? And what CD32 Revision?

Gampads shouldn't be deteced or keys pressed at all at this point. All code if removed for gamepads and joysticks.
Mouse + keyboard only.
Annoying is that I would find out what it is in 30min if I had it on my bench! (like whole set up)

Using this as 25 mhz: https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/774 ... D25M00000/
This as the 32k: https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/815 ... 2.768KD2T/

The caps are the ones from Steve's assembly file, put directly by JLC. If you can't reproduce this with an 80 mhz crystal, I'll send you my riser plus 330.

So I got my ret6 chip today. To my surprise it looks like it made things worse! I think I will have to send you one of these boards to take a look at. EDIT: well, actually no, not worse. But same as RET7. So I guess it doesn't matter if we use RET6 or RET7 so that's good to know.
