Thanks.
Question for those who know: Is the STbook PCB 2 or 4 layer?
There are indeed some repairs needed. If 2-layer, I'm still interested though, with the intention to get it back up running.

Suggested value and interest STbook
Re: Suggested value and interest STbook
I would like to see pic of the bottom side of the motherboard.

@troed
4 layers. Definitely not 2.
@Bikerbob Thanks for the photos.
Bad capacitor leaking there + humidity took its toll too. I expect something similar in the display area where there are few more elcos.
Good points: case bits and pieces seem to be there. PSU.
Bad: trackpad(am I dreaming or Best sells the replacement ribbon?), not sure), and motherboard. Display pcb also needs checking/recap.

Re: Suggested value and interest STbook
These pcb's unfortunately very fragile and sometimes fussy. I have one here that's playing all sorts of tricks with me. I saved 2 already but this is something else. And the display is another thing of it's own. Once repaired...worked well, gone again next day.
STBooks are risky business but really nice things to have.
