I didn't mention it, but thought it was implicit that remaining married is one of the requirements. 8-)

I'm erring on the side of try a few pins and then bravely give up and get the snips out if it looks to be going poorly at the moment.

BW
DFB1 Open source 50MHz 030 and TT-RAM accelerator for the Falcon
DSTB1 Open source 16Mhz 68k and AltRAM accelerator for the ST
Smalliermouse ST-optimised USB mouse adapter based on SmallyMouse2
FrontBench The Frontier: Elite 2 intro as a benchmark

If you don't mind the hassle of posting feel free to just send it to me (just in its metal shielding for protection, not the case obv) and I'll do it for you, I can remove all the address / data bus SILS and replace them with sockets if you like too.

That's very kind, Steve, but I'd set this aside for tonight and firmware development is a bit stuck until I can get this working (STE is fine), so I want to get this up and running ASAP.

Plus, I suppose I have to learn some time!

Think you need a new wife ;). Said to dawn just, I've spent £2,000 on Atari stuff the past month... She said "OK". Resistance is futile

Snippy snippy then I guess..

You could always try brain washing the wife, put on some of that new age wishy-washy meditation music on at night... say it is good for sleeping some some stuff... then it changes to reversed chanting of 'let David spend all the monies' for about an hour, each night. Should do the trick.

And they fit! Not soldered yet, and who knows what trace-related carnage has yet to be discovered, but sorry 68k fans. That is now an ex-processor.

@Badwolf May the processor's sacrifice be worth it for the greater good (chorus of "the greater good").
