Hi fellow retro geeks

Post by andrewdove »

Andrew from London here, who first had a 520 STFM then later an STE back in the day.
How I loved Dungeon Master, Spectrum Holobyte's Falcon and MIDI music such as that in Captain Blood!
Reacquired tired examples of each during the lockdown and set about restoring and retrobriting them.
Now in generally loved condition, with added memory, gotek and disk drives.
Now here for pure nostalgia and even more enhancements while I fret internally about their longevity.
Long life to us .. and may 16 bit live forever

Thanks muchly for the warm reception folks, no doubt you are the most friendly and knowledgeable community representatives bar none!

Captain Blood's music and immersive story fuelled a teenagers' enthusiasm for 16 bit sci-fi adventure :geek: not to mention Jean Michel Jarre 8-)
And Atari ST was the best version https://www.denofgeek.com/games/the-str ... ain-blood/

Exxos made few other titles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ERE_Informatique#Exxos however IMHO the eponymous forum here is a wonderful testament :ugeek:
