Hello all,
I just figured it would be proper to introduce myself before any other posting...as anyone should right?
People on AtariAge will know me under the same name "eightbit" as I have been a member there for over a decade and am most active in those forums.
My very first 16-bit computer was an Atari 520STfm and I had a lot of fun with that machine as a kid. Computers then were quite pricey and I was really fortunate to get a hold of one of these. It was a great birthday to say the least!
That 520STfm is unfortunately long gone but I never forgot about it and recently (finally) I was able to obtain one again. I live in the USA on the east coast and they are really difficult to find in my area.
Now I am getting back into the swing of it and grabbing upgrades I did not have when I was younger (upgrading the TOS, ordered a 4MB RAM upgrade from here, modern mouse adapter, etc).
I am really looking forward to using this machine again and I am sure I will be chatting with you good folks in the forums in the near future. Thanks for having me!
Hello everyone!

Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make it a fact. ~exxos ~
People should find solutions to problems, not find problems with solutions.

Re: Hello everyone!
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
