ram chips for the C103414 1MB upgrade

Post by rnleao »

Hi all,

I have a C103414 board with the original NEC 4242256-12 chips. I just want to upgrade to 1Mb. Does anyone knows a source for these chips (NEC 424256-12 or equivalent). I believe i just need the chips as the capactiors are all there right? Thanks for the help!

I did post check the store then deleted it as couldn't check there was SMT RAM in the store

Looks like you have the caps so you don't need them :)

hi all,

i soldered last night the 4 chips for 1mb upgrade but sysinfo did not find them (bought them from Exxos). i checked the contacts and they loked fine to me but tomorrow i will take the board to a microscope. There were 3 resistors though that i had no clue where to use them. Could it be related? Many thanks!
