Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
I would suggest you continuity check from the CPU pins to the ROM socket and make sure there is no broken connections. D0-D15 , A1-A16.

@exxos
All pins have a transition between CPU and ROM

Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
You should be working then really, you may want to do the bus resistor upgrades in the mandatory fixes section and try again. PSU recap is always a good idea also. Or send it to @Steve to diagnose the problem for you.

Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
There is a chance that these problems are being caused by my MS, I have been mod it for years. There was Pak 020 and 030 some VGA and others. survivors. Maybe one of the chips is damaged. I will try to put it in another MST or 520ST. Please tell me if
Your DualTos will be required in the 520ST or if I can burn 2.06 on eprom and put it directly into the ST ( 27c010 with modifications ) ?

Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
Not sure I understand what you are wanting to try and do.. Any ST will run TOS104, but not 206 without decoder.. my MST dualtos pcb wont fit any other machines.. and the ROM is 27c4096...

Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
It is a pity. I wanted to check in a short ST. So, tomorrow I'll try to do a test with ct'ide, there is 206. If it doesn't work, probably my MST is broken. Thank you for your help
Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
Were you talking about using two 32 to 28 pin eprom adaptors with eproms programmed to tos2.06, if so it should work in the correct socket with the decoder board but you would need to alter the rom jumpers to suit.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Mega ST and exxos Decoder + dual tos problem
I think someone on here made some of those recently but I cannot remember who..
