Toggle Switch

Post by pjdouglas »

Afternoon All,

Ive just purchased the following items for my STE:

Item 0010 Toggle Switch
0048 STE Dual TOS 1.62/2.06 Switcher kit along with the rom

The switcher board has a jumper for changing TOS versions, the board has 2 solder points named GND and SEL.

The toggle switch has 3 legs; lables above each leg are:

Left leg : ON 6A, Middle Leg : 125, Right Leg ON AC.

Which legs on the toggle switch do I connect to GND and SEL on the switcher board ?

I'm assuming that one of the legs on the toggle switch wont connect to anything and is not needed.

Thanks

Thank you.

Does it matter which leg goes to GND or SEL on the switcher ?

Think of the switch as a jumper, when it's on then its like having a jumper fitted, when it's off its like no jumper is fitted.

In reality you only need a 2 position switch that is off/on to make this work.

Thank you, that is what I thought but always worth checking...

Using the same theory then, it does not matter which leg of the switch goes to GRN or SEL on the switcher board ?

Given it does not matter which way round the sleeve goes on the jump pins as it just connecting the circuit.

As long as you use a middle pin for GND or SEL, then neither side of the switch can go to the other wire...
