@rubber_jonnie I've got a couple of Pico's as well but not yet had chance to use them...
It'll be interesting to see how you get in with them!

Re: Stuff and Things.
Gonna try playing with Micro Python first as I'm more familiar with it than C and Arduino IDE.

I've only used Python a few times several years ago...but until very recently I was using C on a daily basis for programming the ARM Cortex-M micros in most of our products...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 5:21 pm Gonna try playing with Micro Python first as I'm more familiar with it than C and Arduino IDE.
Never tried MicroPython or the Arduino IDE though...

Re: Stuff and Things.
Getting MicroPython up and running is simply downloading a file and dragging it to the disk icon that appears on your PC, then using an IDE called Thonny. I am no programmer, however I did do a Python course recently so it is the better choice for me ATM.JezC wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 9:06 pmI've only used Python a few times several years ago...but until very recently I was using C on a daily basis for programming the ARM Cortex-M micros in most of our products...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 5:21 pm Gonna try playing with Micro Python first as I'm more familiar with it than C and Arduino IDE.

Re: Stuff and Things.
@rubber_jonnie I will have to try that before the new year.
There is also support for the Pico in our commercial C/C++ compiler, so I will see how that works too!
As usual though, time for the hobbies is limited...but my wife's eldest is coming to stay from this evening until early Jan, so there might be a bit more opportunity than up til now...

Re: Stuff and Things.
Wow, must be Christmas I just managed to win an Atari 600XL on eBay!! Been trying for ages and prices always ridiculous, but had for under £100.
With that and the Aquarius I'm on a roll. Didn't win the TI99/4a, but hey ho, may have a bid on an MSX tomorrow

Re: Stuff and Things.
I've also remembered another 3d package I used to dabble with called Imagine. I had V3 for DOS and it was not the easiest software to get along with!!
