Cool!

This shouldn't be out of the realms of possibility really.

Remember the game Leisure Suit Larry?

If you pressed space bar it would show some businessy type graphs, just in case the boss walked past and looked at your screen. lol

And there's 'fun' easter eggs aplenty in LOTS of serious software.

Would probably take someone with disassembly skills just to look through the code and find "breakout"..

Though I wonder if you loaded the PRG into a hex editor probably search for it anyway... If the name is there then I would assume the game actually is as well..

Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make it a fact. ~exxos ~
People should find solutions to problems, not find problems with solutions.

I hadn't even thought of that. Great idea!

Was just setting something up and made an accidental discovery that for the whole time I've been using EmuTOS the shading on Notator differed slightly in that it stops short of the edge of the window.

Notator normally:

Notator on EmuTOS:

Dunno if this is important, but shows how it behaves with Notator.

Figured out how to get sounds using Electronic Cow.

Post by Cosmic Puppet »

Last night I managed to save a sound from the internal YM2149F using Sound Chip Synth by Electronic Cow.
It outputs as an AVR file. A program is available for Audacity which will read and play these, giving you the option to save as a WAV. I just need to make sure the sample rate is 44.1 in Audition and then I can play it polyphonically on the keyboard with any lag cropped out.

Still tinkering, but will make a video with links to stuff when I've got it as simple as possible.

Pretty cool though as I can get sounds that I don't get with the Catskull YM2149 Synth.

Nice.

I think I have a derivative of that IC in an FM expander cart for the C64.

The C64 scene has had some tunes created with this of late, as a new version of the FM expander has been released for sale.

Its got that PC card OPL2/3 vibe. lol

Theres even a SID to YM converter which is great.

0.9.12 is quite old. Does that also happen with newer versions? At least is does not seem to be related to the recently introduced 3D objects.

Hi. Yeah, it does it on the new ones with or without 3D Objects. I just hadn't noticed until today because I'd been staring at the screen too long trying figure some hard musical things out.
