The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.

I recorded today's siren test. Turns out it's a G Major chord.

That is brilliant, I don't know much about music but it sounds nice to me :)

Thanks. It basically means it's easy to incorporate into a composition. There's an interesting 'wind up' noise when the siren starts too. 8-)

It doesn't normally hold in that stuck position (that creates a chord). I wasn't expecting that.

I always wanted a way incorporate the YM2149F into music. Now I have a way.

I really like it mixed in with the bass, though I did that when working out Atlantic by Keane and don't wish to upload copyrighted material.

P.S. I don't now what the little button is for on top. It currently makes the sound stick.

Also need to get someone to shrink the tubing over it as I had to buy it chipless to have a YM2149F running it.

Still finalising my setup of this, but this is every aspect achieved without PC now.

I plan to make some proper how to videos in the future when I have a capture card etc. Probably in the bleak mid-winter.

Okay, so I've been making a setup in Notator's RMG to manipulate and save the CATSKULL YM2149 sounds.

Been a while in the making as I had to take a break for my sanity.

Recent skintness due to buying a TASCAM Model 12 and the fact that I didn't notice the Import, Customs and VAT that was payable to UPS meant I've been mostly housebound and picked up this task again.

I found trying to decide how to lay it out a head fluff.

All that's left is for me to just double check I'm happy with everything and then make a brief video.

When that's done I'll also put up the Notator file that has everything saved and a txt file of the implimentation from the github and the setup I went for.

I've altered the order so that it works better left to right starting with the Synth type selection (1 - 7)

Man you can get some wacky sounds and recall them with a single click.

Thanks. Spent the past 2 years on it.

On looking back I hadn't realised I'd got further on the whole chip setup. My SD card went down and confused things.
