Hey guys,
I followed some online guides and made a gbs-control powered gbs-8200. For anyone who doesn't know it is a scaler useful for multiple retro systems, the gbs control software is an open source firmware running on an esp dev board which turns this cheap and basic scaler into something very special. I'll link some stuff below. Here are some pictures of my board, haven't done much testing yet.
Total cost of construction was about £50, bought all the bits from amazon.

Re: gbs-8200 and gbs-control
great, I have all the parts, but no time to allocate on that. Did you try your gbs-8200 alone before building the gbs-control ? For now I am at this point and all I get is a freezed frame. So maybe mine is defective anyway.

No I just built it all and then tried it. You might not be getting an output without setting the output format in the device first.
