I've got STE with 32MHz booter from the Exxos store (and ROM upgrade too).
It seems that in 8MHz mode it is not 100% compatible. It looks like some DME/Interrupts related problem. It can be seen in STNICCC 2000 Demo (https://demozoo.org/productions/59549/) in the initial vector animation sound seems to play with x2 speed and it freezes after a while.
Can someone with 32MHz boster confirm it? (otherwise there is something wrong with my STE)
32MHZ booster problem
Re: 32MHZ booster problem
That doesn't make sense.. I would run GB6 and verify you are running at 8MHz.. 8MHz mode does nothing but feed 8MHz to the CPU like a stock machine does.
Also all DMA is done by the STE chipset, CPU doesn't have anything to do with it all. All that runs at stock speed anyway.
