Re: Old TT motherboard restoration
It shouldn't crash without termination, merely not see anything. Sounds like your SCSI controller chip is probably fried.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Use the NVRam Soft from Uwe Seimet (HDDriver) to set the machine (TT) SCSI ID to 7.
Re: Old TT motherboard restoration
Will try and if not I guess new SCSI chip?

Re: Old TT motherboard restoration
You need a 6V NVRam Battery for the Mainboard ...

4x AAA batteries in a holder works wonderfully (and cheaply).
The TT will run without one, or at least mine did for a while.

Re: Old TT motherboard restoration
Well, I plugged again external SCSI HDD and added terminator at its end as I happened to have one and it works. I can run Mint and no surprises as of yet. I plugged the battery but 3.5V - seems to be holding watch and date - should I change it?
Big thanks - process ongoing
