I was just trying to make the PAK/68 work today (without really thinking of any kind of achievement), and...

A big success (even if GAL V5_51A is not U3 but U5...) ! :D

Clock is 32 Mhz and there were no freezes until now.

My actual setup is: blitter removed, 2.2K pull-ups and original line drivers, i.e. 74LS244 and 74LS373.

I am still waiting for the "F" line drivers to be delivered, but if everything works great, I am not sure whether to replace them.

I will also have to connect the FDD to check there are no issues while accessing floppies.

EDIT: Replaced the oscillator with a 50 Mhz one and still no issues.

I was just fiddling with my setup, trying to find the best position for each of the expansions I want to install when a bloody short destroyed my Lightning ST...

One GAL on the PAK68 was also dead, but as I have some spare ones, I was just a matter of time to burn a new one.

Other stuff is also working, so only the Lightning ST is unusable.

I hope the Thunder & Storm & Lightning team is still selling some, but I have no reply from Matthias when I send a mail.

@HigashiJun Matthias who does the emails has been really unresponsive for a while now, but I know he's had some difficult times recently (he told me in an email) You might be better off speaking to @czietz as he seems to be 'picking up the slack' a lot I noticed on Atari forum, although he is a developer he seems to be most of the customer interaction lately, poor guy ;)

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your post.

I know Matthias had some hard times, but as I got a reply from him after, I thought everything was back to normal.

I am really sorry for him if he still has tough events to deal with.

I will reply to czietz personal PM.

Cheers.
