Thanks, but these all sound like things that could cause issues with a detected, but not working, drive.

EDIT: Sorry, Christian has informed me that actually track 0 select is an integral part of the drive detection under TOS, so that is something I'll look into. Thanks!

Here the drive isn't detected at all. The machine is unaware of the existence of it, despite the unit having a little spin during reboot.
