R_J finally managed to measure the PSU stand-offs

Height of stand-offs are 15mm

Am using the nylon stand-offs which are around 6mm wide.

#1 is straight up centre to centre
#2 is 10mm centre to centre
#3 is 11mm centre to centre
#4 same as #3

I've made a start on these, just not had a lot of free time this week. I'll try and get them done this weekend if I can.

Ok, so 1 & 2 are designed, 3 shouldn't take much doing now as it's only 1mm different from 2.

Trouble is, it's a quarter past midnight, so time for sleep!!

Should have the last one done 2morrow.

Looks like I have a NASTY DMA, NOT SO BAD DMA, GOOD 1772 and BAD 1772.
So this is possibly why my Floppy Drive fails to Format Disks with the Ultrasatan pugged in. It's not socketed though. I've also just noticed this loop of wire connected to one of the legs.

There was a odd conflict between the 1772 and DMA chip (this was "fixed" on the Remake board in fact) . I think he swapped the 1772 and the problem went away. Though I also had similar with a brick HDD a while ago.. see here https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =17&t=1015

It's interesting how EmuTos, Fast Copy Pro/3 and Notator's Disk Formatter all work with the Hard Drive attached. I'll see how things go just using these alternatives for now. Had some odd issues along the way. If I try the Notator software provided online (Did this when I thought my program disk was faulty) and save a song file. That same file wouldn't load on my version of Notator.

Welcome to the world of Atari ;)

Like with DMA issues you can sectors test the drive all day long and it never fails. Save desktop.inf and it trashes your drive  Just another reason why I want to move to a the new ST remake motherboards, which are supposed to work correctly ;)
