Programming TF accelerator help
Is there a guide some where?
Re: Programming TF accelerator help
Here is my guide with the info needed to flash with raspberry pi, in one post there is a link to my Raspian 8gb image which has all the programming software on it ready to use, just substitute your jed for mine to program your TF card
My raspbian is passworded its ` Backlash1`
This was on a Rasp pi 3 but should be ok on a 2...BUT CHECK YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PINOUTS !

Re: Programming TF accelerator help
If it helps, I also created a guide with photos here based on my own learning of how to do it:

If you have a Pi 4 then switch "matrix_creator" for "sysfsgpio_creator".

Re: Programming TF accelerator help
Thanks for this guide. Very helpful.
A silly question...
What parts need to be installed to be able to program the CPLD on the TF536??
I'd like to program the CPLD before installing most of the other parts as it's the one chip I'm most concerned about soldering.
So if I do screw it up (very probable) it will be easier to remove without having the other parts on the board.

Re: Programming TF accelerator help
CPLD and voltage regulator and some way to inject 5v onto the 5v line.. IIRC the TF536s all come with regulators prepopulatedwild wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 2:20 am Thanks for this guide. Very helpful.

You only need to have soldered some of the power pins and jtag pins correctly to program it.

Re: Programming TF accelerator help
The regulator wasn't installed on the boards I bought from Exxos.
Being able to program the CPLD is not a guarantee that it's installed correctly all around. There can still be shorted pins or lifted pins.
