Re: TFMSX Arrives
I didn't have any carts, so I bought something that I could test with. The only one reasonably priced I could find was Konami Football. But it should give me tools to test controls, keyboard etc.

I was gonna throw you a Monkey Academy Cart in with it. I got a bunch of repro carts from BanjoGuyOllie.arkadiusz.makarenko wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:15 pm I didn't have any carts, so I bought something that I could test with. Re: TFMSX Arrives
On a whim, I just went and looked at how much an MSX2 system costs and... ouch!
Only thing I have seen that's more expensive for that era would have to be the Microbee systems.
(Which go for a stupid price, considering they're a CP/M system based on a modified S100 bus)

Re: TFMSX Arrives
The issue with this revision of the board and MSX2 is that it seems an RTC is required for MSX2. I'd not noticed that.

I'm fairly sure it isn't. My upgraded Expert almost certainly doesn't have an RTC. You can find the schematics to the upgrade kit here.terriblefire wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 1:57 pm The issue with this revision of the board and MSX2 is that it seems an RTC is required for MSX2. I'd not noticed that.

Re: TFMSX Arrives
Hmmm the standard rom spins looking for an RTC. I forget the exact port. I guess it might be dependant on the ROM?

Re: TFMSX Arrives
It looks like msx2 bios will not boot without rtc.
You could try c-bios?

Re: TFMSX Arrives
Ok I’ll give that a shot. I’d been trying to get the standard roms to work. But C-Bios might be better anyway
