TF1230 - IDE Physical Installation Question

Post by Lamaman1971 »

Hi Folks,

I want to use the TF1230 IDE in my A1200 but its physically tricky to find a good place for it - it might seem an odd question but, bearing in mind the short cable length permitted, where have folks tucked away their HDD?

Thanks, Mark

Hi.
I use one of those backplate IDE kits. Puts the adaptor next to the Mouse and Joystick port. You swap out that removable cover.
It's great because it is so easy to swap CF cards or make changes to the contents via WinUAE etc.
6" cable will do it.
