You need to start at the other end. One of my TF534 IDE's also stopped to work - turned out it was bad CF reader. It worked fine, but then stopped for an unknown reason... 0603 resistors are 1k on all my boards
Check CF Card》check CF reader》check ide ribbon, when that's all fine - then switch to the board.
If that all doesn't help - let me know, will send you a replacement pcb, have Your addresses already
Will also include RNs

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
I don't believe that the CF adapter is bad as it works on Kickstart 3.1.4 and works absolutely fine in my A600. I have more CF adapters incoming, however, so I'll try another one when I get them. The IDE cable is brand new, and I have tested a couple of them.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:18 am You need to start at the other end. It could be that 1kOhm is right on the edge and something else differs with my boards and yours making 1k not work on mine. Maybe? It's easy enough to swap them out anyway

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
Yeah, I can imagine it would be quite tight if using a "real" connector
I have two more TF534 PCB's waiting to be built, so I'm good. I also have a bunch of 1k RN's. But thank you very much for offering!8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:18 am If that all doesn't help - let me know, will send you a replacement pcb, have Your addresses already

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
R1 and R2 has been changed to 2.2 kOhm resistors. That made no difference.
Tried booting on the 3.1 Install floppy, and at first didn't see the CF card. Ran HDToolBox, and while freezing for a bit when "checking scsi.device address 0 unit 0", the CF card was detected and icons appeared. I think 3.1.4 has the same problem with my card, but uses a pointier stick when probing for devices during boot up. I'll link in a video of this.
Haven't got my shipment of CF adapters yet, so I can't check that. I'll try reprogramming the CPLD's if I did something stupid or used some weird release. I don't think that's the case, but it's probably all I can do for now.
Cheers!

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
I’ve tried like 8 different CF cards earlier, and none were detected by DiagROM. I didn’t try any other cards tonight, though.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 11:11 pm Hmmmm... i would say Your CF is screwed up..

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
Try the CF card in Winuae with KS 3.1 to see if it boots.
Re: kludge’s TF534 build
It was created in Winuae with KS 3.1, so at least it did work

Re: kludge’s TF534 build
I hate you. Also, I love you.
Has anyone figured what makes different IDE controllers liking one CF adapter more than another one? It’s just a stupid passive adapter. Oh well. Seems fixed now.
Do you know if it would work with either a 0.1uF 0603 or 10uF 1206 for C18? I forgot to order a 0.1uF 1206...
