SX32 Riser not working with TF330, why?

Post by heitzek »

Hi,

This is possibly going to be a dumb one, but hey, that's me :)

I got my hands on an SX-32 Mk2 (not the pro) which comes with the card itself and a backplane with all ports.

I know that on the TF330 board clearly states that is not compatible with the analog riser, but I would like to understand why so I can try to figure out if it's possible to do any mod either to the TF330 or the SX-32 riser itself.

Thanks!

it's because not all signals are present on the riser (board isn't fully routed)
You can add patchwires and try to let it work though

My bet is that PUNT is not floating on the SX32. I don’t know why but it’s been explained before why the analogic riser doesn’t work.

No mod will fix the PUNT float issue. It needs a firmware fix on the riser. TL;DR.. the risers set signals to 1 when they need to be set to high impedance.

Thank you so much for the super quick answer.

I will give it a shot according your advice (both) and I'll get back to you with any news.

Cheers.
