CPLDs from the same batch in both cases? From a reputable source or reprints?8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 10:09 pm Built two, just to be sure, both behave identically..

CPLDs are known good from DigiKey, MB is freshly recapped,
TF1260 works great on it....
will try to use some EPROMs, maybe this helps

Hello all
Good evening my build of the the TF1230, gone smoothly 68030 shows up, just one odd thing the ram is a no show, in workbench or Amiga test kit, checked my soldering looks good, any pointers there might be a bad joint...that I've missed, or I am best test with 3.1 roms, & sorry if has been covered before
A1200 rev 1b

Read up... Kick 3.0 not supported. Try 3.1+ICRY wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 10:18 pm Hello all

If you don't have 3.1 at hand, you can try addmem (https://aminet.net/package/util/cli/AddMem)

MT48LC16M16A2P-6A-G installed, rock solid for many hours of testing on a 1D4 and 2B (31 and all types of ROMs). Also tested on a 1D1 for a short while with no issues.

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
So that’s another ram type that supposedly doesn’t work. So it seems it’s completely random whether the 1230 will work or not on any given motherboard… :/
Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
MT48LC16M16A2P-6A-G - same RAM as I used - I bought it for the 536 but it was left over. Has been working fine on the 1D4.

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
Indeed. I have 5 motherboards now and everything works on all of them.
Another thing that has been noted is that less issues are seen when the RAMOE line is grounded... let me add a jed file here with that set that way all the time...
The only other thing i might suggest as a mod to try is to cut the CLK14M line from the A1200 and put a tiny clock buffer IC in like on the TF520. That might make a difference and if we can verify that we could update the design.
The reason i didnt do this out of the gate is because it can introduce ringing and the rise time of the 14M clock on the A1200 seems to be good enough to sample with the CPLD.
