I'm hearing some rumours that some demos don't work with the TF1230 (that do with other 030 cards). I've not been able to prove this myself so please list the glitchy ones here and i'll take a look.
List of issues : -
Nexus 7 (Runs Slow?) - Fixed
Control AGA - Fixed?

Re: TF1230 Compatibility
Well, there is a Video on YouTube with a comparison of TF1230 vs Tsunami1230, some demos showing glitches, indeed, this may be caused by RAM timings I think:

Unlikely. More likely cache settings.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 10:58 am Well, there is a Video on YouTube with a comparison of TF1230 vs Tsunami1230, some demos showing glitches, indeed, this may be caused by RAM timings I think:

Can this be reproduced on TF330? TF1230 is essentially the same card.

Re: TF1230 Compatibility
There is one thing that annoys me ATM:
the synthetic tests showing almost same results, but the difference is pretty big, Tsunami shows better Performance in Demos, this may be achieved by using FPU, will need to check are these Demos FPU optimised or not? If so - this wasn't a fair comparison, rather Tsunami promotion..
Another thing - TF1230 is able to use MMULibs and uFASTROM, this wasn't also mentioned for some reason?
Have built more than 100x TF330's and got not a single report of corrupted demos so may assume that TF330 doesn't have them...

That video is amusing. Like the retro equivalent of a Tinder profile - going to a lot of effort to show all their positives and brushing the rest under the carpet!
Still, nice of them to perform some useful testing on the 1230 and provide feedback!

Re: TF1230 Compatibility
none of those demos are FPU demos.. Nexus7 is a A500 only demo.
Re: TF1230 Compatibility
...and they overlook that Steve's TF1230 is open source..... the Edu board not so much
Re: TF1230 Compatibility
The Nexus 7 demo gives the same result on the TF330 from my experience, yes.terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 11:01 amUnlikely.
