I did have a issue with the State of Art demo when testing early last month, stalling about 3/4's the way through. Did not mention this at the time as I changed to another CF card and the issue disappeared. Will try that CF card again with the new firmware when I get a chance.

I would say 6"/15cm (without an IDE buffer).

Folks this thread is for software compatibility of the TF1230. For general issues start a new thread

Tried the new firmware today, could not find any issues in the demos listed, all seemed smooth as silk. Still have a issue with State of Art crashing on one of my installs, but it is only happening on one particular CF card, so it has to be an issue with that CF card. :)

Test rig: 2B Motherboard, custom extended 31 ROMs, TF1230 onboard IDE used.

Edit:
Any other particular tests required :?: About to start some repair work on a 3000 and the 1200's will be shelved in the next few days.

@Danoo

Can you confirm the two issues below are resolved during your tests? They are still present on my test setup.

Cuzco / Oxygene - artifacts on screen during cube / cheese display.

Drool This / Parallax : (can be found in supaduper's archive) With the latest firmware, starts and runs then Gurus the machine about 5 seconds into rendering the "3D FPS room" section near the start of the demo. The same behaviour is shown in the video at 4:12. This one seems to run OK on WinUAE.

@PaulJ_2.0 Are you still unable to get the card to boot with the new firmware on your 2B?

Can someone else with a 2B and a 1230 test this?

@go0se

Oxygen yes flickers at cheeses then scarab beetle zoomer.

Drool This / Parallax - works fine. I downloaded it elsewhere. From Demozoo?

No still no booting, I tried a second card with a diff spec -5 CPLD and no boot.
I will dig out another board revision to check later.

Cheers.

Interestingly, the version of Drool This available on Demozoo/Scene.org has a text note attached which reads
This is fixed version of the our demo that was released at the
Assembly '94. Now it is as it should have been. Wolf-routine has
a little bug that crashes the machine sometime. Enjoy the Demo.
Which sounds like it might not be present on the WHDLoad version I was testing or the one shown on the video. I will check this version shortly.

@8 Bit Dreams

Nitro looks fine. I am using WHDLoad v1.3 released March 2021.

3D Demo 2 - I am seeing the same. (Handy you can keep mouse clicking to get to the end!)
