So they soldered the MAX238 where the GAL should be  I also spied the oscillator was in backwards

I will try and do a order to Farnell to get the sockets in tomorrow and other missing bits...

This is the assembled state.

I have fitted the missing capacitors, 2x 24pin ACIA sockets, simm socket, rotated the 16mhz osc. Moved the MAX238 to its proper place. Fitted the RTC & 32mhz osc.

As these will have to be shipped in large boxes, if anyone wants to order any additional parts from my store, they should probably do so now, and write "do not ship" in the checkout notes.

I will send people a payment link for the parts and assembly and postage once I catch up with everything..

Ok, I'll get ready to raid the piggy bank.
@exxos Did you see the order for the VGA adaptor as well?
I'm hoping the postage already paid on the other two orders will offset some of the postage for the assembled H4...

Yes, those orders have been put in the box also... Yeah you pay postage twice so there probably won't be much difference there. I just need to look up the postage price..

I'm currently "stuck" as chrome has welded itself into my processes list and will not let me end task it even, and that is where all my shortcuts are  and I cannot restart my computer for another hour yet

There are (many) occasions when I prefer the greater control over processes in the older versions of Windoze.
XP was ok but most since then have just taken away more user control.
Definitely considering making a dual boot Win7/Linux system rather than be forced to upgrade to W10.

Running the latter on an old laptop ATM but I expect it to stop coping with every update.
