A 'plug in' buffer design I drew up for the TF1230 / 1260 arrived today. It is shamelessly 'inspired by' the buffering on the TF536.supaduper wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:20 am Just for reference my IDE cables are 20cm so perhaps that extra 20cm is problematic for some, and anyway if you want longer cables you need to buffer the IDE, so that then entails trying one of the various buffer adapters that are available for Amigas..I have never tried one
It is designed to plug into the existing 44 pin IDE header on whatever unbuffered TF card you have. It is physically supported by the IDE header and a standoff in a Dolmen type design
It seems to work well as intended but unfortunately the layout needs adjusted to fully clear the keyboard when used with the the 1230/60. I will tighten it up and put it somewhere here for people that need such a feature for their insanely long cables !
