I have no idea how this hole vanished.. But there is a hole missing on the cartridge bracket..
The fix is to file the lug off the bracket and bucket loads of solder on it

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
Is it an option to drill the hole in the board, or that's too dangerous?

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
@exxos if it's just the bracket, can we miss that off & just fit the actual cartridge connector?

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
I imagine that you need the bracket to help with the strength of the connector, while inserting the cartridge.

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
I guess you could glue the connector to the board and not use the bracket. But bracket is the proper way of doing it.AndresPlazaR wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:26 pmI imagine that you need the bracket to help with the strength of the connector, while inserting the cartridge.

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
sorry for the noob question, but is this the only fix needed on the Rev B1 boards? I had been (loosely) following a thread that showed several traces that needed to be cut and some bodge work but that may have been the earlier "A" board?
Thanks in advance.

Re: H5 B1 FIXES
Exactly. This is the only needed fix on B1 at the moment to get it booting. All is, however, not tested on the board yet.officer960 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 7:14 am ... but is this the only fix needed on the Rev B1 boards?...
A3 needed a bit more 'love' to get it going.
