I'd probably like one for myself please but would also be happy to offer an assembly service for others in the UK for the relevant cost.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

I am done trying to get these boards done by JLC. They are driving me insane :pullhair:

I'm going to finish the parts list to include all the 3M sockets and a few missing chips which JLC do not do like the Opto and MAX238 IC etc.. DAC will not be fitted as it would just be too much messing around to ship them to China, and not everyone wants to use this with the HDMI stuff starting to appear.

The ST related sockets and 68K DIP sockets will not be fitted. The SIMM socket will not be fitted because they are incredibly expensive to buy and they would seriously ramp up the outlay on this.. I already have stock of them in my store but it would be too expensive to ship them to China anyway.

The cost of the 3M socket is a fair bit, but those who want to use cheaper sockets, well tough. I only want quality sockets to be fitted on these boards as they will be sold in my store. In terms of long-term reliability this is the best solution and it also allows people to swap chips between machines without risking breaking the socket so much.

So basically I'm going to try and get as much assembled on this board as possible. A batch of 50 will be done and may take preorders for them in the near future. I think this version being likely the last in the series of the H5 boards, it will probably be the board I will keep producing as long as there is demand.

The next version of the motherboard (H6) will be a fundamentally different board venturing into FPGA land. So the H5C1 is likely the last fully compatible stock motherboard which will be produced.

I don't really know what the price of these boards will be yet, probably around the £120 mark. For those who think getting them without assembly will be cheaper, assembly is extremely cheap and the parts cost cannot really be cut down much other than using cheaper sockets anyway. The bulk of the cost really comes down to shipping and import taxes more than anything. As people know I try my best the past few months to get the best overall deal and realistically I think this is just going to be it.

Does anyone know the part number for the PSU socket ? I'm looking to get all the headers & jumpers soldered on as well..

I've almost finished the new BOM for the PCB assembly company.. The reset ic will be fitted as well.

I use the TE Connectivity ones which have the hole so that the PSU power connector locks in and are identical to the original ones on the Atari. TE mfr code:171825-6 and I get them from Mouser.

Thanks @kodak80 if they're like the original then will add that to the BOM.

I think the only thing left is finding the keyboard connector header in mouser. It's slightly longer than normal headers.

I believe these match. I just measured an original and the mating post length is 8.51mm
