Its been talked about a lot in the past.. It would save space, but there would be nothing to really go there anyway ? Things like LAN would be under the PSU as that is where the main chips are.and more free space.

Re: H6 plan.
Just checking - at least one 9 pin serial port will still be included, right?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: H6 plan.
Okay, thanks. I'd be good with either the 9 pin or 25 pin, just as long as there's a
serial port.

Re: H6 plan.
A theory - if you're running an FPGA MMU and shifter, then you may be able to increase the resolution/colour depth without faster RAM by widening the data path between the RAM and shifter from 16 to 32 data lines or even more.
Re: H6 plan.
Yeah that's been a goal mixed in with the 020 CPU.

Re: H6 plan.
Might as well go the whole hog and build a fully 32 bit machine from the ground up with a 68000 in there for game compatability. There seem to be lots of cheap QFP 68030s on Chinese web sites to throw in there. TT clone anyone?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: H6 plan.
this sounds brilliant, can't wait for next board
Re: H6 plan.
I've locked this tread as it's got off-topic and giving the impression the H6 will be 32bit when we are a long way away from that.
