Failed Exxos PSU Install - Help?

Post by Soyale »

I received my Exxos PSU this week and tried to install it today. It failed in that no lights came on once I had it all hooked up. I (tried) to configure it for 110V using the guide on this site. In all honesty, I didn't find this install easy primarily because my electronics skills are limited once you go outside throwing PC components together. Perhaps a good place to start is making sure that I connected the right wires together. See attached pictures.

You have wired the mains switch up wrong... The black wire should be above the other 2 wires...

That did it! Thanks so much.

I had hoped the PSU would help with some of the stability / output noise issues I was seeing. The video output noise has been reduced considerably. I don't know about stability yet but either way, I know I have a high quality PSU for many years to come.

BTW Apologies for tainting your beautiful power supply with my meagre soldering skills. I've covered the connections with tape so no-one will ever know what a mess they are.
