I tend to use them quite a bit now, they are quite reasonable for rates on larger package.
My Atari VCS experience was nuts. They picked up the package in California on the 21st (evening). It arrived in Germany on the 22nd (evening). Delivered to me in Sweden at noon on the 23rd.

I laughed at the estimated delivery date since I thought that would be completely impossible. Much impressed.

That's normal for UPS. Ever since the beginning of the pandemic we have to deliver to our Thunder/Storm/Lightning/Cloudy customers in the US via UPS. This is because for several months no postal (small) parcels to the US were accepted at all and now German postal service tells us to expect delivery times of one to two months(!) when sending things to the US. Of course, no one wants to wait that long for their order.

In contrast, UPS reliably delivers within two days, even if it is from small-town Germany to small-town USA. This is certainly an instance of "you get what you pay for". Even with the discount that I get (compared to the prices on the UPS website), UPS is still significantly more expensive than a small commercial parcel via the postal service.

Current update..

Not really sure how good the UK postal system is yet. Will probably leave it a week, then ship out some UK orders and see how things go.

There are some overseas orders outstanding, I am not even considering posting these yet under current circumstances.

We are going to post out all outstanding UK & USA direction orders tomorrow. I was going to wait a little longer, but as the UK seems to be heading for another big lockdown, I think it may be better to get them in the postal system.. At least they may make it out of the UK over the next couple of weeks.. But with there still being huge backlogs all over the place, there really is no good time as to when to post these out..

We are not going to post out EU orders just yet as there is likely going to be a huge backlog still and the chances of packages getting damaged are pretty high I think.. I just envision the packages being stuck under a huge mountain of parcels for the next few weeks and would rather just not post them until things are starting to quieten down.. But this could be ongoing for some weeks..

EDIT:

Orders with Trudie and H5 amp fix as still at my home.. I need to take them to my girlfriends yet, so she won't be able to post those for a few days anyway..

I have just remembered now that sometime the twitter of the french post may be able to solve some problem, so I am attempting to get it rerouted to me now, if it is still possible. I'll keep you in touch anyway.

Well, I went at my post office 2 weeks ago, -2 times- to try to get it, but it was "not found"... And I got confirmation that it departed back to UK yesterday. Too bad I forgot to use twitter sooner...
