I know it's late, but I learnt a very useful trick:

Before I send ANYTHING i record a contionous video of the item being connected, tested, unconnected, packed, taped and labeled. I then upload the video to youtube as unlisted. Had a case opened against me for over £400 as item not as described. It took ebay 1h to to drop the case and ban the bayer after I sent over the link to the video and the screenshot with detailed description as per auction.

How do you send this video to ebay? What happened in my case was that I called the customer service to see what my options were and they literally gave me none to prove my point.

You have 30 days to appeal and provide explanation / evidence. You can find it under help Appeal eBay's decision about a return or missing item for sellers.

Don't call, always get chat, email, case, anything that leaves a record for you. That's my advice.

What I don’t get is - this is a small hobby community. Why would you go scamming someone? Over literally something I sell as close to the cost as possible in order to prevent gougers from ripping people off? Which is incidentally the only reason I am on eBay at all.
I registered here to comment on this guy, of which I have also had dealings with in the past. I "bought" an A1200 from him 2/3 years ago on a sales site here in Norway. I was not alone however, at least 2 others also "bought" this package from him. As soon as he had the money he just stopped replying all together.

I happen to know one of the other guys who also got scammed by him, together we contacted the police and got a case on him. In the end he was fined 1000 or so euros, and he would have to pay us back. So far I have only seen a fraction of that money as he keeps his bank account empty and as such the Government can not get money from him.

I highly doubt he is a retro enthusiast of any kind, he just sees markets where he can scam people. As i dugg into this guy i discovered he was in his early 20s and had scammed people on other forums as well (at least 2 of them being forums for car enthusiast).

In the end id like to add that his last name is quite rare in Norway, so beware of anyone using that last name. He has also exploited his family members names to do this, he has no morals at all (with me he had registered an account in his grandfathers name). From what I gathered he is a bum with no job who uses the money he scams out of people for partying and traveling the world with his girlfriend.

Good afternoon gents,
to my regret I have to report the next victim of the gold rush that seems to be sweeping Poland.
It's Stachu - user who is well known for repairing and modifying PPC cards.
Will try to briefly outline the essence of the problem:
You may noticed that with the announcement of WARP and TF accelerators on 060 processors, there was a huge price increase for these processors. This user began to sell processors at a price of 400€, which is not a crime, although its questionable..

And so, about two weeks ago, some lots of 060 rev.6 CPUs (about 26 pieces) appeared on Ebay.
List of auctions:

https://www.ebay.pl/itm/383811597543

All of them were discribed like this:
"For sale one piece of MC68050RC50 Freescale CPU pulled from industrial computer board.
Untested.
# 3 on the picture.
Tracked shipment wordwide.

No returns accepted!

I have more of such items, please look on my other listings."

Naturally, these were sold at a relatively expensive price, but here the fun begins: short after that Stachu creates a thread on a1k.org, and promises to help to get a partial refund:

According to his version:
1. He sold non-working processors as scrap to one of his colleagues
2. Instead of recycling, a colleague decided to sell them and put them up on Ebay
3. Unfortunately, he "forgot" to indicate that the processors are non-working, (although he knew it 100% sure) instread of that he wrote "Untested"
4. Somehow mysteriously, Stachu sent the processors to buyers instead of a colleague (although before that he assured that he sold them a couple of months ago)
5. Since he is generous, he is "helping" to return 55% of the lost money to buyers, because the processors were actually defective ..
A very strange story, agree?
Here is the full story for those who are interested:

https://www.a1k.org/forum/index.php?threads/77084/

In my opinion, the following happened:
1. In fact, Stachu turned out to be a very greedy and dishonest person
2. He knew that the processors were defective, but decided to make money on them
3. For this, he created a new profile on Ebay and PayPal and put up lots for sale
4 His miscalculation is that PayPal blocks the funds of new users until the buyer receives the goods, so he didn't had time to transfer money to his bank account.
5. in mean time complaints from customers that the processors are not working was coming in
6. he decided to save his reputation, and made a stunning offer: either you agree to get 55% or get back nothing ...

I appeal to all the scammed persons: do not agree to 55%, rather take his post as proof of evidence contact Ebay, say that he misled you, indicating that the lot was "Untested", although he definitely knew that the processors wasn't working. Best thing would be to get together and create a class action lawsuit..

With best regards,

Considering how ebay works, these people simply had to say he sent them an antistatic bag and they would be automatically refunded. It is extremely stupid to try and pull a scam as a seller on ebay since you know you don't have any rights.

I bid on quite a few of them since I figured there's a good 95% chance that the stuff works, especially given that there was more than one item available. Fortunately for me the prices got too high for my budget.

Are we 100% sure that is the real Stachu100, the one registered on amibay? I sent him more than AUD$800 for an 060 accelerator last year and received exactly what I expected. Could it be that someone is just reusing well-known forum names?

Its possible. But who is going to give a user with 12 feedback 400 euro for an untested CPU? Really its just a stupidity test.

Quite surprising if it is real Stachu. He was selling PPC cards a while back on eBay so could cross reference there to see if it is him.
I know COVID has caused plenty of crazy things, but unless he is giving up AMIGA then why burn all your bridges and rip people off in the process?
As far as I know he was well respected in community and been doing accelerator card repairs for years.
I will sit down with a coffee and read the A1.org stuff :)
