I had a report about the 1230.. Seems RAM type can make a difference to how things behave. Probably because I have the RAM timings quite tight on the 1230.

I list the models in case you want to add it in the forum so that people know about it.

Insignis "NDS36PT5-20ET" for 64 MB: When a CF is connected the workbench does not show the memory, in case of bridging the RAMOE signal to GND the workbench shows the memory but gives random read errors in WHDLOAD.

Alliance "AS4C32M16SB-7TCN" for 128MB: When a CF is connected the workbench does not show the memory, in case of bridging the RAMOE signal to GND the workbench shows the memory but gives random read errors in WHDLOAD.

Issi "IS42S16320F-7TL" for 128MB: Everything works perfect in all circumstances without errors in WHDLoad.

P.S. Alliance and Insignis are used in the TF330 without any problems.

Seems I need more RAMs...😅

The samsungs are working fine for me... you probably have some soldering issues.

Where did you get IS42S16320B-75TLI ? Are they made up component suffixes from AliExpress?

They are on the official Datasheet as Industrial Range.

Maybe 133mhz is just a touch too slow?

They're not on the official data sheet I'm looking at, I see 6TLI, 7TLI, 75ETLI but no 75TLI

Can you send me a link to the sheet you're referencing?

If you check his picture, you can see his are 75ETLI

Sorry, there has been a little confusion here, I thought you were querying the 'I' part. I looked at his chip and the datasheet and confirmed they were there.

Oh, sorry, my bad, I mean IS42S16320B-75ETLI
Would be nice if they could work, these are very cheap, about 2$ for each, it's a good price for 64Mb ...

nope if I boot ATK from Gotek it shows no errors on RAM, however booting from IDE usually breaks up and activity LED stays on...

Ok then it's a broken CPLD. I have no issues here whatsoever. I let it play softfloat Quake, frontier or anything else on a loop for days on end, no crashes. Try replacing the CPLD.
